We believe in the quality and durability of our sofas and armchairs. That's why we offer more than just the statutory warranty: a 10-year warranty on the load-bearing elements of your sofa or armchair.
This warranty applies to products purchased via www.nydo-studio.ch and is aimed exclusively at consumers residing in Switzerland. The Swiss Code of Obligations (OR) and the Product Liability Act (PrHG) apply.
1. Scope of Warranty
This warranty applies to sofas and armchairs from nydo.
Ten (10) year warranty
- Frame (frame construction and non-moving, load-bearing parts of sofas and armchairs)
- Seat suspension (heavy-duty corrugated springs made of hardened steel)
Two (2) year statutory warranty
For all other parts, the statutory warranty period of two (2) years from the date of purchase according to Art. 210 OR applies:
- Fabric or imitation leather covers
- Leather covers
- Upholstery and cushion fillings
- Mechanisms and moving parts (not the suspension)
- Mechanical components
- Fittings and hardware
This warranty applies exclusively to private use. It is non-transferable and only valid with the original proof of purchase.
2. Exclusions
The warranty does not apply to:
- Normal wear and tear (e.g. seat marks, creasing, discoloration)
- Damage due to improper storage, assembly or cleaning
- Damage due to misuse, overuse, alterations or accidents
- Damage due to outdoor installation or in damp rooms
The warranty does not cover indirect damages beyond material or manufacturing defects – as far as legally permissible.
3. Claiming the Warranty
Please contact our customer service and send us:
- A copy of your proof of purchase
- A brief description of the defect
- Photos for documentation
We will promptly review your request and find a solution – from repair to replacement.

4. Statutory Rights
This warranty supplements the statutory warranty rights under Swiss law – two (2) years from purchase according to Art. 210 OR. Your statutory rights remain unaffected. In the event of a conflict between this warranty statement and mandatory provisions of Swiss consumer protection law, the statutory provisions shall prevail.
